Client Case: Cetasol

Project/Completed in Q3 2025

Cetasol needed to modernize iHelm, improve data quality in the interface, and develop new features that would strengthen both analytical capabilities and operational control. The goal was delivery by the end of September 2025.

Engine Alarms Page

A new view for historical engine alarms across the entire fleet. Users can filter by time interval and vessel, search through alarms, and export data in CSV format.

WebApp 2.0 (UI-makeover)

Comprehensive redesign of the interface, introduction of dark mode, and adaptation to Cetasol’s new visual guidelines.

HTML-rapporter

Automatically generated weekly reports per vessel in HTML format – with navigation statistics and an interactive map view.

Portal Data API

New backend built in Python FastAPI. The system fetches data asynchronously from AWS data lake and minimizes timeout risks in iHelm. The solution includes data usage tracking and rate limiting via AWS Athena.

Live/Playback Page

Complete redesign of the customer’s real-time view. Users can follow vessels live or replay the last 48 hours. The page includes new gauge and bar widgets that display engine status and other key values.

Performance Page

A new overview that allows users to compare vessels and operators based on fuel efficiency, speed patterns, and other operational KPIs. Designed to support fleet management and performance analysis.

Custom Alarms

Users will be able to create custom alarms based on any triggers (e.g., speed limits, geographical areas) and define desired actions (notifications, on-board actions, etc.).

Fleet Management Expansion

Gradual further development of iHelm toward a full-scale fleet management system with higher levels of control, reporting, and automation.
